Kulasekara Azhvar - Ramavatharam
கணபுரத்தென் கருமணியே இராகவனே தாலேலோ
Kulasekara Azhwar was so much devoted to Lord Rama that once he was listening
to the epic story of Ramayana, got emotional and he ordered his army to invade
Lanka to help Rama. Later he calmed Down once he heard that Lord Rama had
conquered Ravana.
Based on a discourse of Sri Velukkudi Krishnan, the Thirukannapura padhigam
of Perumal Thirumozhi, Kulasekara Azhwar dedicates his pasurams to
the various Gaandams of Ramayana namely Baala Gaandam(1-3), Ayodya
Gaandam(4-5), Aaranya Gaandam(6), Kishkindha Gaandam(7), Yuddha Gaandam(8-9), Uthara
Gaandam(10) and Benefits of chanting these pasurams (11). The entire pasuram
is set in Thalattu format imagining mother Kosalai singing a lullaby for Child
Sri Rama.
